- Plan work
- Job hazards are identified and required action is taken to minimise, control or eliminate identified hazards
- Dangerous or hazardous (including regulated waste) or other materials requiring specialised handling are identified, and relevant workplace procedures are taken into account when planning work
- Traffic flow and work area conditions are assessed and anticipated to ensure safe operation and no injury to people or damage to equipment, loads, facilities or environment
- Load characteristics are taken into account when selecting method, equipment and appropriate attachments to transfer load, as required
- Potential occurrences in work area that may affect the safety and efficiency of operations are reported to appropriate personnel
- Bulk transfer of dry materials is planned, taking into account load requirements, transfer method, storage facility and transport mode, load weight, dimensions, and equipment capacity
- Required personal safety equipment, signage, barriers and special precautions are identified in plan and utilised
- Procedures to deal with spills, leakages and ruptures are identified
- Customer requests for variation to agreed operations are actioned within scope of authority or referred to appropriate personnel
- Transfer material
- Equipment is prepared and appropriate attachment/s is fitted
- Equipment controls are checked for correct operational status before commencing transfer
- Adjustments are made to process, to accommodate special requirements such as temperature control, combustion
- Instruments and gauges are monitored during operations to ensure operation is consistent with workplace procedures, manufacturer specifications, enterprise schedule and safety requirements
- Speed of operation is managed for safety and efficiency of materials movement and equipment operations
- Faults or damage to equipment are immediately reported to appropriate personnel
- Monitor and operate controls
- Equipment controls are monitored and operated in accordance with manufacturer operating instructions and workplace procedures
- Control systems are monitored to ensure operation is consistent with workplace procedures, manufacturer specifications, workplace schedule, safety requirements and statutory regulations
- Materials are moved ensuring no injury to personnel or damage to equipment or goods
- Faults are identified and reported in accordance with workplace procedures
- Complete operations
- Equipment is shut down in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, without injury to personnel or damage to equipment, loads or facilities in accordance with workplace procedures
- Clean up methods for transfer equipment are completed in accordance with workplace procedures
- Equipment is cleaned and secured in accordance with workplace procedures
- Documentation is completed and filed in accordance workplace procedures
